I knew that if I grilled the pineapple, I would be able to pull all of those delicious natural sugars out to caramelize the fruit. Hence, this is how we came up with… Hawaiian shrimp (or chicken in my husbands case) over a light sesame salad. Served with a perfectly crisp Sauvignon Blanc and sourdough bread.

Larkmead Vineyard is a winery that has been on my radar for some time. We’ve sipped and enjoyed their wine on a few occasions, most notably at a dinner party, with a friend who is quite the wine snob. (Don’t worry, he won’t be offended that we call him that, he’s very proud of the title.)
