Travel, such a beautiful word. One of my favorite words when it involves traveling to palm trees and sunshine!
My in-laws have a place in Florida that we visit and I have found a few items that made all the difference when traveling with a baby. The first thing you think of when you know you will be in the sunshine all day is “how am I going to protect my new baby when they can’t wear sunscreen yet?”, these are the ways we prepared.
Baby Must Haves
This sun blanket we got from amazon was a game changer. It allowed us to block the sun from getting to Peyton’s skin whether she was in our arms, lounge chair or over her car seat/stroller for shade. But it wasn’t so heavy that it added to the heat. We loved it so much, we actually bought a second one!
We had to make sure we had the right swimsuit or clothing to also help keep the sun’s harmful rays off her skin. Ruffle Butts let us breathe easy with their UPF 50+ sun protection! They have the most adorable accessories, like matching hats!
This dome was the perfect place for Peyton on the back patio or a nap on the boat! The canopy blocks the sun and protects her from bugs. It has a comfy pad for babies to lay on and two hanging toys to encourage eye tracking. The dome folds up nicely for on the go travel moments.
Mama Must Haves
Baby Brew - on the go, bottle warmer.
This on the go baby bottle warmer is key for warming bottles while out and about. We have used it at friend’s houses, wine tasting, or even in the car while running errands. We couldn’t live without it! The bottle warmer lets you choose different temperatures based off of what you feel is best for your baby, whether it be body temp or warmer.
This is my favorite cover-up. Hands down, I recommend it to everyone. I have the black one and it is incredibly flattering, cinched waist and the best part for new moms; the ties actually untie! Talk about the perfect easy access for on-the-go nursing!

I have bought this swimsuit twice because of how much I love it. The straps are adjustable, it is very slimming and the neckline has the perfect peek-out piece with the above coverup.

This fan clips onto the stroller, carseat, or even table side while you are out in the heat with baby.
This cover is something I use multiple times a day, I couldn’t live without it, so I bought two! I use it for nursing, shade, privacy, high chair cover… honestly the options are endless!
