When I went off to college, I had the hardest time getting a good nights rest in the dorms, so my mom introduced me to a white noise machine to help me sleep. Now 12+ years later, I still love them!
So many moms recommended a white noise machine for our nursery when we found out we were pregnant and that’s when my research started! I landed on the Hatch Baby Rest Sound Machine based off the reviews and multiple uses of this one device. The Hatch is a white noise machine that, once set, using the free app on your phone, all you have to do is touch the silver ring on the top to turn it off and on. This was very appealing since I knew my arms would be full with our new baby. (Not going to lie, I have used my toe before if we were on the move, haha!)
The app allows you to choose a color, sound and volume for your baby’s snooze fest. We personally love the color blue and ocean sounds!
Once Peyton gets older, you can set the Hatch to be one color for “sleeping hours” and it can turn a different color at a specific time. We may choose green for playtime and blue when it is time for bed, then at 7am it can change back to green which tells Peyton that it is morning. The color can tell your child that they can get up for the day! No more, 5am “HEY MOM WHATS FOR BREAKFAST?”
That being said, I loved this product so much we got one for our room too! The Hatch Restore, which you can program using the same app, it will learn your “bed time routine.”

Sound machine, smart light, personal sleep routine, reading light and sunrise alarm clock.
At a certain time, the app will turn on as a reading light, 20min later it will change to my sleeping meditations and eventually head into my ocean waves until my alarm goes off in the morning. My alarm used to be this obnoxious ringing from my phone, now with the Hatch Restore, it is a pink sunrise that slowly gets brighter as peaceful chimes begin to get louder.
My husband can vouch, meditations were never our thing before the Hatch, now it really gives us a calm mindset for a great nights sleep.
The Hatch Sound Machine came highly recommended. We love it so much we also purchased The Hatch restore for our room.
