Valentine's Day Advice for Guys
Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating love with affection and romance. Here’s a fool proof way to show her how much you care on this special day.
1. Book Dinner Reservations, Now!
Restaurant reservations fill up quickly for February 14, so don’t wait, make the call early, or download OpenTable and use the app. You can always cancel if plans change.
Give her a reason to put on a pretty dress.
2. Flowers
Roses are customary, red means “I love you” and pink means “I like you a lot.”
Surprise her by calling a local florist and have them delivered to her at home or work. You can also order flowers online. Here are some companies that deliver beautiful flowers:
1-800-FLOWERS Bouqs.com. FTD.com
ProFlowers.com. FarmGirl Flowers Amazon.com
If you have time to stop by Costco, pre-order the impressive 50 long stem red rose bouquet for $39.99.
3. Buy A Card
Exchanging cards is tradition. Funny or romantic, or one of each, it’s a thoughtful gesture and fun to open them.
If you’re good with words, write a personal note expressing how you feel about her. These are the cards she will save.
Even if you only write a few words, “Will you be my Valentine?” or signed “With love, from your Valentine,” this will make her smile.
Remember, it’s not just a card to her, it’s a declaration of your feelings.
If you want to go all out, add a bottle of wine, champagne, some chocolates or a gift.
Pick up a bottle of her favorite wine or Champagne.
If she has a sweet tooth, add a heart shaped box of chocolates.
If her love language is receiving gifts, jewelry is always very special or a gift card for a massage, a spa treatment or a pedicure works too. It will allow her to take some time for herself and think about how sweet you are the entire time!
The most important thing to remember on Valentine’s Day, is to make her feel special, appreciated and loved.
